The Technicold self-contained air conditioning system is composed of a remote condensing unit and a air handler. Technicold uses only the highest-quality marine-resistant components. The counter-fl ow condenser is fluted cupro-nickel. It features soft copper tubing and a non-conductive Bakelite electrical box.
The Technicold air handler is composed of 16 gauge 316L stainless steel. It features
corrosion resistant heliarc welded seams throughout and its lower rotates for ease of
installation. The handler sits on a two-inch deep fully insulated drip pan making
condensation is a non-issue.
The handler and condenser rest on a stainless steel pan. The electrical box is
easily accessible. Manual high pressure resets and automatic high temperature resets
ensure your set’s of safety and longevity. Since weight and capacity are always concerns on an at-sea application, each
